Menace, one of the most rapid strains on the market, was discovered in equine dung near Houston, Texas. Like the horse who created its dung-habitat, this mushroom strain is extremely fast and powerful. So, why are these beautiful mushrooms called menace to begin with? Legend has it that the original farmer who discovered the strain believed he had discovered a new species all together, which he named “psilocybe Menace”. However, upon realizing that it was actually a novel cubensis strain, it was renamed into its current form as we know it today. This beginner strain is a lot of fun to work with, especially if time isn’t on your side.
